Introduction
At webtoapp.design, we specialize in transforming websites into fully functional mobile apps. Recently, we had the pleasure of creating the I Love Walking app. This case study will walk you through the process of converting their website into a mobile app for both Android and iOS, highlighting the challenges we faced, the solutions we implemented, and the results we achieved.
App Overview
I Love Walking is a walking-tour app offering guided and self-guided tours, maps, and travel resources for cities such as Prague and Bratislava.
The app's features are described in the app stores as follows:
You only need one app for every vacation. With the I Love Walking app, you can book the best walking tours in any city worldwide. Whether you want to book a (free) walking tour or a day trip during your vacation, we work with only one partner in every city. We have selected the best providers of walking tours and day trips everywhere. Our goal is to offer the best walking tours and day trips worldwide and make them available in one place.
Developing the I Love Walking App
The I Love Walking app was created using our self-serve platform, which allows customers to design and customize their app with ease. This approach provides flexibility and control over the app's appearance and functionality, enabling customers to create an app that meets their specific requirements. Our support team is always available to assist customers throughout the app creation process, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience.
In addition to the self-serve platform, we also offer a range of additional features that can enhance the app's functionality. These features include push notifications and more. By incorporating these features, we ensure that the I Love Walking app is equipped with the tools it needs to engage users effectively and provide a seamless user experience.
App Publishing
App rejections are a common occurrence during the app publishing process, but they are typically minor issues that can be easily resolved. Common reasons for app rejections include incorrect information in the app store listing or issues with the app's functionality. Our team has experience in addressing these issues and working with customers to ensure a successful app launch.
Our team has a wealth of experience in app publishing, having successfully published hundreds of apps on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. This expertise allows us to navigate the app review process efficiently and address any issues that may arise during the review. We work closely with our customers to ensure that their app meets all the necessary requirements for publication, resulting in a smooth and successful app launch.
The app is now available for download on the app stores, allowing users to access I Love Walking on their mobile devices. The I Love Walking team is excited about the app's launch and looks forward to user feedback.
Already, users have downloaded the app over 20 times! On average they gave the app a rating of 0.0 stars in the app stores (based on over 0 reviews).
Project Summary
Transforming the I Love Walking website into a mobile app was a rewarding experience for both us and our client. We were able to deliver a high-quality, cross-platform mobile app that enhanced the user experience and added value to I Love Walking's services.
And here's what our customer thought:
“Jan really helped us excellently with publishing our app for I Love Walking. The Android release went smoothly and succeeded on the first try. Apple had several additional questions and minor remarks. However, Jan has the mentality of the persistent one and guided us very well through the process. As a result, third time's the charm and our app is now also available for Apple devices. I can recommend Webto App 100%.”
