The Beginning

The homechoice app project was an exciting opportunity for us to showcase our skills in app development. This case study will provide an in-depth look at the process of converting their website into a mobile app, the challenges we encountered, and the successful outcome we achieved.

App Overview

homechoice is the largest home-shopping retailer in southern Africa, selling homeware and financial services to the middle-income mass market.

Let's take a look at the app's description in the app stores to get a feel for its functionality:

Home delivery.  Online safe payment options including EFT, credit & debit cards and more.

App Design

Our self-serve platform allows customers to create their own app with ease. This approach provides flexibility and control over the app's design and functionality, enabling customers to tailor the app to their specific needs. The homechoice app was created using this platform, with our support team available to assist customers throughout the process.

To enhance the app's functionality, we incorporate additional features such as push notifications, which enable the homechoice team to communicate with users effectively and keep them informed about important updates and events. These features are designed to improve user engagement and provide a more interactive experience for app users.

App Store Launch

App rejections can happen during the app publishing process, but they are usually minor issues that can be quickly resolved. Common reasons for app rejections include incorrect information in the app store listing or issues with the app's functionality. Our team is experienced in addressing these issues and working with customers to ensure a successful app launch.

Our team has a deep understanding of the app publishing process and is well-versed in the requirements of the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We have successfully published numerous apps on both platforms and have encountered and resolved various issues that can arise during the app review process. Our experience allows us to address any challenges that may arise during the review and ensure that the app is published in a timely manner.

After successfully publishing the app, the homechoice team was thrilled to see their app live on the app stores. The app is now available to users, allowing them to access homechoice conveniently on their mobile devices.

Download the homechoice app from the Google Play Store.

The homechoice app is available to users in South Africa.

Hi, I'm Jan! I created webtoapp.design in 2019 while studying computer science in university. A lot has changed since then - not only have I graduated, but it's also no longer just me running webtoapp.design. We've grown to a global, fully remote team and have gathered lots of experience around app development and app publishing. We've created and published hundreds of apps in the app stores, where they've been downloaded millions of times.
