Even if your app doesn't have push notifications enabled at the moment, a push notification key is still necessary. This also allows you to easily enable push notifications later on if you so choose.
Click the plus button.
Tick the "Apple Push Notifications service (APNs)" checkbox, but don't tick any other checkboxes.
Click the 'Continue' button at the top right.
Click the 'Register' button at the top right.
You should now see something like the above screenshot. I've highlighted the key ID in it.
Click the "Download" button at the top right and upload the downloaded file here. The file name should be something like AuthKey_ABCDE12345.p8
The name of the uploaded file is unexpected. This could mean one of the following things:
- You picked the wrong file.
- You entered wrong information in a related field. For example, if you're uploading a key file but entered the wrong key id in a previous field.
- You (or your device) renamed the file before uploading it.
Please double-check your input. If you're sure that you did everything correctly, you can ignore this message. If you're unsure or suspect that this might be an error in this guide, please contact us!
